It’s flipping hot, and I didn’t really plan it out too well, but I’d gone for coffee and to do some writing and the dog was off at daycare for the morning and the kid was at summer school and the only other adult in the house had fled downtown to her air conditioned office, so I just sort of picked up and drove out there. I didn’t have any painting supplies, though to be honest it would have been dank hot for even that, and so I just did a long meandering walk checking out the status of the flowers for next time and snapping a few rolls of digital film taking pictures of trees and other botany-adjacent subject matter. Next time I may even think to bring some water.
