8r4d So, our regular Sunday morning #runcrew #running adventure was usurped by a turn through another charity race, this time dropping in on the breast #cancer fundraiser Run for the Cure where about 4000 participants fun runned through a south-central #yeg neighbourhood. We parked at a cafe about 4k away and ran there and back for the 5k race, which gave us a little over 12 klicks on the day and a well deserved coffee meetup afterwards. #runforthecure

8r4d A year ago tonight I was wandering around Chicago having arrived that day for the upcoming marathon weekend. This year we’re enjoying the #autumn #trails while out on our regular #running meetup.

8r4d #running this morning in Red Deer for the Terry Fox run. I was tuckered out by 5k so just one loop for me. #terryfoxrun #ohcanada

8r4d The Divide #ultramarathon is a 100 hour long 320km #running #race thru the Rocky mountains near Crowsnest Pass. RM had been running for about three and a half days straight when we caught up with him at the last checkpoint at midnight of the last night after driving down from the city to cheer him on. We presume he’ll roll across the finish line around 8 in the morning, so we’re back for some rest at the hotel until then leaving him to catch a few #zzzs and then head off for the final 26k while we sleep.

8r4d #runclub dips into September and #summer weather is holding for another week of #running adventure. P’s grandson joined for a whole klick before he petered out, though his navigation skills put his grandfather on guard in case he could soon take over as the crew’s human gps and route guru.

8r4d Alas it is September and #summer is slinking to a close before this month ends. We are still enjoying the sunny #running weather and the lack of training goals so that we can just hit the trails for fun and good company.

8r4d Sucked up my apathy this morning and went for a wee #parkrun #race and some Saturday morning #running fun in the #rivervalley

8r4d A the #summer fades and training slips into the odd season, we go out #running for a few last #runclub meets. Not many people out tonight so I don’t think we have many official weeks left.

8r4d With race season pretty much closed up for another year (at least for most of us) our #running adventures have resumed their normal short + sweet + coffee pattern. #summer it’s almost over… sigh. Today was a guys #runcrew s all the ladies seemed to be on vacation. That just means we talked more politics and told fart jokes than usual.
