8r4d Our planned 5k adventure #running adventure turned upside down and we landed with 8k at the end of it all. There are worse mistakes to make on a summer evening than spending an extra 3k with friends.

8r4d Sunday #running the week before race weekend (but not for me) means an easy taper but with lots of friends who are trained, fast and race-ready.

8r4d Our Thursday #running adventure hit a spot of rain, but at least the weather cooled off along with the drizzle.

8r4d Unless it’s a special occasion my #running cutoff is usually 30C … it was 29C this evening which may as well have been 31C for how it felt. I didn’t fare very well but at least I made it back to the start again. One of our group required a special ride to the hospital before the run was over.

8r4d July the first and our #ohcanada Day tradition of a #running meetup followed by #breakfast continues.

8r4d Our #running adventure run this evening was preempted by a small bachelor party for Leon who is getting married in a little over a week. We ran a celebratory lap through some downtown-ish trails and then went for bets on Whyte Ave.

8r4d A few klicks through the creek in the shade made today’s first days of #summer #running a breezy smile and more.

8r4d The first of our #adventurerun #running adventures for 2025 started at the river boat launch and took us up into forest heights and then back down into the river valley. It had rained hard all morning so the trails were a bit mucky. The point of these runs was always to get out of the rut of our regular routes and see some of the great city trails. They are always a success from that perspective.

8r4d When they ask me to plan a route for #runclub I do my best to find a big hill and some trails. #running

8r4d Another Sunday #running adventure and a great day for a run… sunshine, no smoke and enthusiasm from the crew. Ten klicks through the trails.
