8r4d #running everyday for exactly two weeks is exhausting. It’s not so much the distance, but the lack of proper rest and recovery between runs means that some days it feels like you haven’t stopped for much more than a nap, and to your body not leaving enough time between runs is as good as not resting at all. So it kinda starts to be like running one really long run broken into segments, rather than multiple runs.

Good news tho, my new #headphones arrived in the mail yesterday and I got to try them out on run number fourteen of my streak. They are bone conduction headphones so they don’t block the ole ear holes and are supposed to be safer for situational awareness like traffic and heavy machinery.

8r4d Lucky #running streak day thirteen and we logged nearly seven klicks in the lingering heat of the trails thru Mill Creek.

8r4d day eleven of my #running streak was another morning lap of the neighbourhood shortly before lunch, and almost soon enough to beat the returning heat and lingering #firesmoke

8r4d #running streak day ten and I got my 6k run around the hood done even as the day was getting a lot smokier out. It’s supposed to be a warm week, which I had hoped to avoid by doing this into September, but I guess #summer isn’t quite done with us yet. #firesmoke

8r4d The biggest challenge of day eight of my #running streak is navigating my timing around tomorrow’s anticipated longer Sunday run. 8r4d To cap off a week long #running streak (to be continued of course!) I went down to the dog park on a Friday morning and set off into the wild yonder across the bridge from there. They winding trip back was the most interesting by far.
