castironguy I have been a bit lazy about #baking #sourdough #bread lately. Between a busy summer, the price of flour, and trying to reduce my gluten intake to see if it helped with some digestion struggles these past few months, my starter was a bit neglected. I gave it some first aid this week and managed to finally bake a loaf today. It’s a bit weak and took too long to rise, but it’s still bread! And the house smells great right now.

castironguy We ate authentic New York #bagels almost every morning last week, and on the way home the kid was lamenting how the grocery store version wasn't gonna compare. Sourdough to the rescue? Of course there was a recipe online and this stack just came hot out of the oven for a couple days worth of breakfast back in Edmonton. #baking
